[b]We’ll Always Have Paris[/b] is a short but emotional game told from the perspective of Simon Smith, a man whose wife has dementia. It is a moving narrative experience about loving somebody with memory loss. The game makes a large impact in its 30 – 60 minutes of gameplay and is a truly emotional experience. It offers simple block-colour visuals, immersive music, and a nice level of interactivity. It tells a harrowing but sadly all too common story of love, illness, and loss and does so in a respectful but honest way that really impresses the complexity and sadness of the situation. Despite the crashes and the fact that it brought tears to my eyes, I very much enjoyed this game and found it incredibly moving. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for something short, and simple but full of honest emotion and sincerity. We'll Always Have Paris is a very short point-and-click narrative about life with dementia. It's written in a way that allows the player just a glimpse of the difficulty, frustration, and fear that come with the illness. The game certainly packs an emotional punch.

I beat the game in 25 minutes so it’s very, very short, even for its price of 2€. It is interesting in concept but unfortunately it’s pretty shallow and unexecuted. I can’t just ignore how short it was and about a third of my playtime was spent completing two literal puzzles. Despite this, it was still quite effective at getting to its point and making me feel sad. I’m giving it two stars for the atmosphere it manages to build up. The game looks visually good but some of the art is just too “minimalistic” as if they were just trying to save on a budget. Most of the screen is usually empty. The sound approach is also disappointing, all you will hear is a single classical piece played on piano. We’ll always have Paris is a visual novel about a man dealing with his wife’s dementia, about nostalgia and about being old. These are highly speaking and interesting thematics. They could have been explored in a more profound manner if the game was just a bit longer, perhaps an hour. The developers should focus on a more in-depth experience instead of making you do boring gameplay sections such as a puzzle or painting a cardboard.
