Welcome To... Chichester 1/Redux : The Spy Of America And The Long Vacation

Welcome To... Chichester 1/Redux : The Spy Of America And The Long Vacation is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This isn't even a complete/full e-book, it's more of a prologue to try advertise or entice people into actually paying money for the other e-books in this disastrous and insulting series of absolute rubbish fanfiction tier "literature". As with all the Chichester pollution/garbage, there's a woefully badly written story about secret societies, including someone's imaginary girlfriend/waifu, and a bunch of construction kit generated anime characters used to desperately try to distract anyone from seeing any of the writing (which is craptastic). "Welcome To... Chichester 1/Redux" — атмосферный ремейк приключенческой игры с элементами детектива. Обновленная графика и звуковая дорожка оживляют мрачную атмосферу 1970-х, но сюжет остается сложным и запутанным. Геймплей требует внимательности: разгадка загадок и сбор доказательств — ключ к продвижению. Однако нелинейная структура может сбивать с толку. Минус — технические сбои в некоторых сценах. В целом, для фанатов жанра — достойный выбор, но новичкам может показаться слишком требовательным.

A bit ridiculous vn with a very specific sense of humor. I will try a few more form this developer.

***FULL DISCLOSURE*** I received this game in a giveaway, but I have no affiliation with the producer and have never been contacted by them for any reason. One of the more bizarre games I've actually gone the extra mile to 100% complete, but the story (while full of typos, weird grammatical issues and odd writing styles) was strangely intriguing and surprisingly coherent. There are definitely more a few thousand sophomoric jokes and digs for some reason, but it mostly adds to the charm of this strange VN. This series is clearly a labor of love seemingly fully made by one guy, so give him some love and check out WTC either use this as foot in the door or pick up the whole series (which seems to be growing rapidly lately) and give it a spin! I think you (like myself) will probably be surprised.
