About Welcome To... Chichester 2 - Part II : No Extra Regrets For The Future
This predominantly kinetic comedy/drama visual novel has two to three hours of gameplay for the main story and fifteen minutes for each secret scene.
Whilst it would be advantageous to have played 'Welcome To... Chichester 2 - Part II : No Regrets For The Future', this episode can be enjoyed on its own.
Not all characters are 18 or over.
Grendel Jinx : A lazy, megalomaniacal kleptomaniac
Five years ago, she nearly suffered a fatal and self-inflicted accident during a school outing, saved only by the protagonist's fortuitous presence.
After rescuing her, the protagonist is promptly coerced into signing a "Friendship Agreement" form - a document designed to tie the protagonist to Grendel, both personally and financially, and then ultimately for the protagonist to join Grendel's organisation.
With the arrival of the last day of term, Grendel needs to hand in her remaining homework or face the prospect of repeating a year.
Drafting in the protagonist to solve her problem, Grendel is annoyed when her demands are swiftly rebuffed.
Initiating a devious plan to ensure her education can progress without interruption, Grendel's actions soon attract her mother's attention, who has her own nefarious plans for the protagonist.
Internal and Steam achievements (as per usual). Visual impairment settings, a background and CG gallery, and a music player. Both galleries are only available once the main story has been completed. Path and sound notification. Features the musical talents of Jessica Jenks. Genre : Comedy, drama, action. Romance : None (unless you count Grendels love of causing the protagonist problems). Recently signed Grendel's 'Friendship Document' (more out of pity than anything else). Doesn't realise what exactly that entails.
Whenever Grendel gets behind on homework, she takes the easy way out : Force someone to write everything up. With the protagonist now Grendel's "Best Friend", what better way of starting this friendship than forcing the protagonist to deal with sixteen different assignments ?

Soon to be the protagonists' secretary and general dogsbody. Absolutely nothing can go wrong there.
Wanting nothing more than their daughter to take over the world, the best way of achieving this is through relentless indoctrination and... ultra-violent anime programs.
Cody and the protagonist dislike each other intensely.
Chole is a hard-working Phoenix Custodian operative
The protagonists' mother. Well-meaning but overbearing. She would like the protagonist to settle down and start a family and is more than willing to help find possible partners.
Believes the protagonist still works for a video game company but is ashamed to admit to it.

Welcome To... Chichester 2 - Part II : No Extra Regrets For The Future is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which presents the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This e-book was slapped together with the godawfully bad RenPy Visual Novel/E-Book construction kit, so just like no professional writing took place here, no professional game development took place either, it's just a product of filling out templates in the construction kit. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse every time you…3 found this helpful

If you're already a fan of the Welcome to... Chichester series of VNs, you don't want to miss this one. It ties up a lot of loose ends and is a real visual upgrade with lots of new detailed scenery and special effects. If you're a fan of the Chichester series, this is an important prequel that ties up a lot of loose ends. It's a bit shorter than some of the others but is also the nicest visually so far. Great cg visuals. Great music, Good tempo for gameplay, with scenes changing often and a lot of intrigue and plotlines, though bordering on a bit much leaving the player slightly confused with everything going on with various characters having their own agenda's. Reply required with different character & choices made to discover more of the above-mentioned. (single run-through you'll likely only get around 25% of the achievements unlocked). There's no specific or right path required, explore from various angles to discover more of the overall story content. Knowledge of prior games in series not needed (unless needing more in-depth knowledge of things mention in the intro summary). Much less gameover death in this one compared to the others, which may or may not be a plus for some depending on if they liked the old difficulty levels, or felt annoyed by the death scenes and having to reload the last save you forgot to make since an hour ago. Only complaint is the serious lack of baseball bats to.. er, lean on like a crutch, to be able to reach and gently pat the short.. extremely lovable cute pink haired anime character on the head.2 found this helpful
