About West of the Witchlands
Something Ancient Beckons. You must seek it. West of the Witchlands.
Top-Down Action Roguelike
West of the Witchlands is a cooperative roguelike where players fight hordes of gnoll thralls using a variety of spells and firearms in an occult western setting. Maps are pseudo-generated out of tilesets that are fit together randomly every run, so the map layout is different every time. Venture across desert, forest, and mountain to fight an ancient entity cloistered in the mountains, with chaotic twin-stick shooting and an atmospheric soundtrack to back it up.
Guns, Spells, Runes
Customize your arsenal with an array of mystical runes, each granting unique and powerful effects. From explosive revolvers to homing Gatling gun rounds, bolster your weapons with a variety of properties and upgrades to better face the Gnoll horde.
Kill 1 Billion Gnolls
As the shadows grow longer, your enemies grow stronger. The horde is strengthened by the rising moon, and the closer you get to your goal, the thicker the pack becomes

Very neat game! I keep dying to ranged attacks and have to start over all the time, but the combat and upgrades are fun to experiment with so I don't mind. Will recommend if you're up for a challenge.6 found this helpful
A Wild West Dungeon:
The dungeons in West of the Witchlands are outdoors, randomized from run to run, and are full of chests of loot, cash to snatch, and monsters gunning for you, so gun em down first! Terrain block shots and serve as cover here, so make use of it to blow down your foes! And watch where you step in the canyon dungeon: if you fall off the cliff you take 25hp damage and are ported back up-top, Zelda style. Take out monsters, to …3 found this helpful

Fun game - good amount of weapons and weapon modifiers to experiment with and is actually pretty challenging for the genre. I've enjoyed it so far, and am looking forward to its development.1 found this helpful
