When will I get Home?

I really enjoyed the game. I'm not Eastern European, I'm West Asian, but the house where I grew up is somewhat similar, so the game really stressed me out. I really like that there are no silly jumpscares and the feeling of tension is subtly ingrained in the background. After all, you'd jump even if a cute cat suddenly darted out in front of you. :) It could be even better if they added more anomalies, more details, and an easy mode that tells you which anomalies you missed and made a mistake.

Since this is an anomaly game, the rules are pretty straightforward and shouldn't give you much trouble if you've played this type of game before. In short, you have to look for differences between rooms, or notice when there aren't any. The first floor always serves as the template, showing how the location is supposed to look, so it's worth memorizing every little detail because everything matters. The objective is simple. Look for a single anomaly or difference. There's always only one, so once you spot it, you already know what to do. The tricky part is that some floors don't have an anomaly at all. Those ended up being the hardest for me because I constantly felt like I was overlooking something. That uncertainty usually followed me all the way to the elevator when it was time to make my choice. If you found an anomaly, you press the red button. If the floor looked completely normal, you press the green button and hope you made the right call. You'll find out immediately because the elevator either continues upward or drops back to the ground floor. If it goes back down, you've made the wrong choice and have to start over from the beginning. This quickly becomes frustrating…

This is a simple, yet fun first-person anomaly searching game, where you play as a dead-tired man trying to get to his bed in his Soviet-style block of flats, but there are strange things afoot. In his fever-dream-like state, every floor seems the same at first, but there are some that show subtle differences or surprise encounters. Your task is to guide him by pressing the appropriate buttons in the elevator: red if there's something different about the current level and green if it correlates to the first one. This game was made by a single, self-taught developer in UE5, and has a very dense Eastern-European atmosphere which will click with you, either because it's a novelty concept, or -if you grew up in a house like this- the sheer familiarity of the hallways. In a world where triple and quadruple "A" games flop, small and fun games like this are a breath of fresh air. It doesn't force your hand, and doesn't overstay its welcome, just aims to give you a good time while you play. It took me a while to find all the anomalies. Many of them are quite difficult to spot, they are very subtle. More challenging than in the other anomaly games I've played. The game has plenty of scary moments, but they're creative and not just simple jump scares.
