Save game bug still exists as of 3/2026.5 found this helpful
As others have stated, you can't save your game. Should be pulled from steam. Bummer since the game seems to run perfectly otherwise. I saved it, closed the game and reopened it to check, and my save was still there. Came back a few days later and it was gone. If you want to play this, use an emulator like Dosbox or a windows virtual machine instead.5 found this helpful
This is my most childhood game ever. I played it over and over again as a kid and even occasionally watch playthroughs of it on youtube when I need something in the background. Now, taking off the nostalgia-colored glasses- This is obviously a kids game, so if you're an adult playing it without having played it when you were 7, it might be a more dull or boring experience if you know everything about the countries they're trying to teach you about. It is also an educational game, as I just alluded to, and a lot of the puzzles have to do with figuring out where to go next- ie, where did an artifact come from that we just found, what language is this word in, etc. Honestly it's not bad for even adults to play (unless you're the geniuses i previously mentioned). I think the game is also occasionally funny and the story itself is not bad for this genre. My girlfriend is playing it rn and I'm supervising it, and she's kind of locked in, so why not give it a try and have some fun with Carmen Sandiego ????2 found this helpful

A childhood favorite!! This game is such a classic, I still love it even as an adult. And now I can share it with my kids!
