Device; Lenovo Explorers with WMR. This was initially quite promising, but unfortunately, refunded after 20 mins purely based on the control scheme. You can't use the thumbsticks for movement, and must use the trackpads. The trackpad (on your left hand at least) is then also used for other stuff... it just didn't work for me at all - wanted to shoot and ended up turning etc and I find it really boring looking up how to fix controls that should just work off the bat, so its a thumbs down from me.3 found this helpful
I had a great time with this game. It was a very satisfying experience that was just the kind of VR game I wanted to play right now. It's very short, but that's good for me when I wanted a little diversion as I focus on completing my Final Fantasy XII playthrough. I didn't know anything about the game going into it, but I was glad to see it's an action/adventure game with simple puzzles. That kind of gameplay hit the spot for me. All of the elements, the combat, puzzles and exploration, were pretty simple, but they were still satisfying. The weakest part of the game is the combat. It's the weightless free-form melee combat that will never really be good in virtual reality. The environments are beautiful and though the game has relatively simply graphics, there are some fantastic effects. The whole thing runs super smoothly on my 5+ year old PC. Witching Tower is a nice game that's worth having in a VR gamer's library. EDIT: I was going to return to the game and complete the achievements I had missed, but unfortunately there is no level select. I'd have to replay the game from the start and that would take an hour or two. I won't bother. EDIT 2: I changed my mind and r…1 found this helpful
The puzzles are fun and the graphics are amazing. Combat is a bit simple, but it's good enough.
I purchased this game on a sale probably a year ago and I finally decided to play it. I couldn't put the controllers down, I finished it in a few hours, I took my time since I really enjoy the art. The music is very nice and the dialogues are clear and enjoyable. The combat system is very simple but the puzzles are all different and not too hard at all but you still get that feeling of accomplishment. The guidance is very nice, I never got lost. I will probably play this game again just because I really enjoyed be part of the story, be there :)
This game does not support Index Controllers. Requires the use of shoulder button, which is only mapped to the Vive Controller. I wasn't able to play much of the game, however in the game it ran very smoothly, and the graphics were very detailed. There is some sense of story but I wasn't able to explore it as I got trapped in the first room due to incompatible controller. I will revisit this game when they add Index Support. Though the devs have said they are waiting on a Dev kit, so not sure when that will be.
If you love a good story and beautiful art and music, youll love this game. If you came to play a game and have fun fighting this game isnt for you.
