Wordcaster

Many times it is way off with what it thinks I said and many words are spelled incorrectly. (i.e. balloon is spelled ballon)

Wordcaster is a really unusual little game because it turns my voice into the main weapon. I play as a wizard and cast spells by saying words out loud, with the game using speech recognition to turn what I say into attacks. I honestly think that is a much more interesting idea than simply having another game where I click buttons to cast spells. It feels a little strange at first, but once I get used to speaking the words clearly, the whole thing becomes surprisingly entertaining. The voice casting is easily the best part for me. Each spellbook has its own collection of words and different power multipliers, so I have to learn what I can say and how quickly I can say it. I liked the fact that speaking is not just a gimmick attached to the game. It is actually the main way I interact with combat. There is something satisfying about saying a word and immediately seeing my wizard unleash an attack, especially when I manage to get several casts out quickly. The combat itself is fairly straightforward. I fight waves of enemies across different worlds and eventually have to deal with bosses. This voice-driven RPG is incredibly fun and hilarious! You play as a wizard casting spells with your actual microphone. The absolute best part is shouting double words to get double attack points against bosses! Unlocking spellbooks and battling enemies with your voice is a total blast. 10/10 would yell at my screen again.
