STEAM DECK —> I just wanted to let Deck and other handheld users know that I created a community layout for us. It’s “BohoLibra’s Steam Deck//Handheld Layout.” I’ve played through five in-game days with that layout and I think it works well! I’ve had this game on my wishlist for a long while, held back by the lack of controller support. But after taking matters into my own hands, I think it’s quite playable now on my Legion Go (with SteamOS; performs nearly identically to my Deck). I’ve played for just a bit, not enough to write a meaningful review of any sort. But so far, I think that the game is super cute. I love seeing the woodland animals lining up at the door, eagerly awaiting me to open the diner. :D It seems there is lots to do. The tutorial eases you into everything nicely. There are some quirks with the English translation, but nothing that prevents me from understanding the gist of things. Also, if you don’t wish for your character to look like a robot, there’s plenty of customization options. My character looks like a pixel art version of me; you can make your “robot” look totally human. :)13 found this helpful
I played the game for such a long time, only for it to stop working. some other people are having the same issues; however, no one seems to care enough to even respond to the complaints. so this game can just stop working suddenly with all your progress going to waste <3 just letting you know.3 found this helpful
I really wanted to dive into this game since I've been obsessed with it's sister game, Sky End Market. Unfortunately, the movement is extremely choppy and makes me nauseous almost immediately. Several others have posted about this issue in the community discussions since 2025, with no solution/assistance offered. If the dev ever comes back to this game and fixes the movement, I will happily buy it again. But until then, it's unplayable. You've been warned.3 found this helpful
Ah, World End Diner. I loved World End Diner. I also didn’t finish it — not even close. I also put over 50 hours into it. Those last two facts are related. There’s a lot that’s wonderful about this game. The premise, of a robot starting a diner to serve sapient animals on a post-apocalyptic earth where humans extinct’d themselves is delightfully original, and the pixel art has such a unique aesthetic and feel. The vibe of the whole game is so unlike anything else, and the bits of lore and worldbuilding are so great. It simultaneously feels somber and comforting, like… the world ended, but it also kept going. Just spending time in it was enjoyable. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see all the lore, because progression is insanely slow. Like, mindbogglingly slow. I put fifty hours into this game and managed to get to level 12 out of 30. The reason I stopped play was because I had to admit to myself it just wasn’t going to be possible to see everything even though I wanted to — I just wanted to move on to other things. This biggest mistake I think the game makes is that it’s not set up to idle — if it was, I don’t think the slow progression would have been as big of an issue, but you h…1 found this helpful

I know it's not really finished, but man do I love this game. It's not without flaws, but its flaws kind of add to the immersion of the experience. You start as a robot that doesn't understand or have familiarity with the Earth it finds itself in. The pixel art at times doesn't communicate itself well, but that actually adds to the whole being a robot that doesn't recognize what a strawberry bush is feeling. Your hand is not always held. Some information you're given directly, and some you have to stumble through to figure out. It really works within itself for these reasons, to me. It makes something that is familiar to us feel unfamiliar and new, and I like that a lot. I feel like the little robot guy learning all this stuff, and I think that's really cool. There are a thousand farm sim / market type games at this point, but I can't think of another one where I really feel like I'm really learning the world and its contents with the character I'm playing. Another thing I really liked about it (aside from the adorable animals + robots theme mashup) is that every time you think you're reaching the end, a new mechanic is unlocked that gains more usage and adds another layer to what …
