Here is a game about war, in which we do not grab a rifle, but a hammer, and instead of destroying - we create.
It’s 1945. It’s the end of World War II, the war that left a mark. Now people like you have to leave their hometowns to rebuild their countries. Motivated by different reasons, they get set on the same quest - to repair and renovate places completely destroyed during the war.
Visit monuments and buildings, stumble upon their history and take part in the biggest rebuilding missions. Meet civilians from England, Germany and France and guide them through the process. Through the journey you will collect resources and craft materials to flip houses, repair industrial buildings, roads and squares. Pick up a hummer or a trowel, drive in a bulldozer, become a mechanic and operator of various machines like a crane, drive jeep cars and bicycles. Clean up the area, defuse and get rid of the bombs and design the new look of a place by decorating.

When your young, destroying & killing is all you want to do in games. When your older, rebuilding & mending feel more rewarding. It is nice to play something where you're doing a good service for a country broken by war, even if it's only make-believe. The additional stories of people during the period are a lovely touch, adding a layer of storytelling that is as inspirational as it is melancholic. Much as I enjoy this, some of what you do didn't feel like what a construction worker would do. I get the developers wanted to add in more for the players, hidden tasks & the like, but going around an airfield's barracks or a dockyard & collecting stuff "really" feels like someone else's job. Besides that, fixing up a train, plane or a submarine also feels like it should be in another game. I'm here to build a new house over this bombed one, not fix up your war machine. Also don't really like how other countries are locked behind having to do all this "collect X & bring here" crap. All that aside, this is well done & pleasant break from games where you're the one doing all the destruction. Did suffer one game ending crash, but my progress saved, so it's fine.2 found this helpful
It's a decent game but it's borderline in terms of what it's worth paying for it. On sale? Sure! Full price? Eeeeeh maybe but don't expect a flawless game. My main issue with this game is that it has a great premise but it's let down by buggy & awkward controls & a poorly implemented resource system. I do enjoy restoring locations but somehow the game makes this so much less satisfying compared to games such as House Flipper. The creative freedom you have is limited to the "loose" items you place but the placing is so fiddly & frustrating that it feels frustrating rather than rewarding. The rebuilding is very much by the numbers and really not that impressive. What I do like is the historical details. The premise really IS great but the devs can't quite pull it off. As it is, I will recommend it ... on sale ... if you're into this kind of game & played all the better ones before.1 found this helpful
Very laggy game (cyberpunk runs better on premier). Changing setting on low didn't help., Second quest with train station didn't count correctly progress. I really want to play this but actual state of game rn is unacceptable. I bought this on sale and I don't recommend1 found this helpful
I really enjoy it on days when I dont know what to do
Pretty good ngl
This game crashes my computer each time. I have even tried to fix it but I apparently can't even get a refund. Game is very broken cannot recommend.
