"Xenosis" is a student project from USC Games. One of the first things students should be taught in game development is that 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid 1990's with dedicated 3D cards like the Voodoo3 and the ATI Rage. But the students were deliberately mistaught that's it's okay to release obsolete 2D games in the 3D era of gaming... certainly any professional developer seeing a prospective new hire who doesn't even know about 3D gaming probably isn't going to give them a job. The remarkable part about this garbage Metroidvania ripoff is that the faculty at USC Games, I am not making this up, sat down a bunch of students in 2023, the year that right after Baldur's Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 came out, and told them what game development business want in hiring game developers is game developers who can only make pixelcrap ripoffs of Metroid. I cannot imagine how hard the recruiters laughed at the students when they honestly presented this garbage during an interview. We also have to question what value there is for gamers on Steam when institutions flood the st…

I loved this 100% free game and the looks of the main hero was awesome, too! They looked kinda like a Samus/Megaman/Shinobi hybrid. Worked even fine with my Atrix Ps4 controller, but 26 minutes are quite short of course. Your decision if you wish to play a short, but fun jump&run game fast.

A very short game. I think for being a game made by university students, it was well made. It have a nice ambient and the platform part is very nice. Short, but i enjoyed my time playing it. Un juego muy corto. Creo que, para ser un juego hecho por estudiantes universitarios, está bien hecho. Tiene un ambiente agradable y la parte de plataformas es muy buena. Es corto, pero disfruté mucho jugándolo.

Honestly it's basically a demo, and not a very impressive one.
