Yokai Art 2: Tales of the Nine-Tails builds upon the strategic foundation established by its predecessor while expanding both its world and gameplay systems in meaningful ways. Developed by Secret Labo and published by Secret Labo, Reborn Entertainment, and Tora Creatives, the game blends tower defense, tactical strategy, and roguelite progression into an adventure inspired by Japanese folklore. The story follows Hiro after his victory over Fujin and Raijin, only for peace to be interrupted when Sanbi begins hearing a mysterious call tied to her forgotten origins as the legendary nine-tailed fox. This premise gives the campaign a stronger narrative drive, encouraging players to uncover ancient secrets while confronting supernatural enemies across a variety of mystical landscapes. At its core, the gameplay revolves around thoughtful planning instead of quick reflexes. Each battle takes place on grid-based maps where positioning allies correctly is just as important as selecting the right units for the encounter. Every stage introduces different enemy formations and combat challenges that reward careful preparation over reckless offense. Defeating hostile yokai grants spiritual ener…
(TLDR) Play the first game if you want a complete full length experience that is polished with loads of content. Game doesn't have nearly as much content as the first one, the animated scenes aren't as good either. This game only has 6 different worlds with 5 stages each. The original had double that and all the event content too as extra. This game feels very lacking like the first one had different formations you could do to get bonuses and strengthen your units. The first game also had tons of different girls with different stage evolutions and this one has like 5.

Great H Game with a surprising amount of depth like the first game. If you're new to this, it's basically a Yokai Girl version of plants vs. zombies with an added layer of depth. If you're coming in from the first game, it's basically the first game but with everything a little better. Bonus! If you own the first game you get a couple ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and some starter cash to help with upgrades! TLDR: Cool PVZ clone with a bit of an added layer of depth, great animations and characters, and can also be played SFW mode(The gooners with children thank you for this lol) If you're a fan of PVZ you'll probably like this.
Amazing game, better than the first. It is also fun to play, not only fanservice.
Game performance is pretty stable. No bug no drop frame so far.
