Yes, we always love TD games, but because of the restriction on the platform or technology, many TD games always have same shortcomings ——complex interaction, bad graphics, belonging to another game, etc. It is hard to find a good simple beautiful TD game. For that reason, we decided to make one ourselves —— That is why “Touhou Monster TD” was made.
The classic tower defense game as a strategy game, in my opinion, is lacking immersion. It is boring that you can only click the button but cannot walk around the map and feel the world. In Touhou Monster TD, you can not only control the character to go anywhere in the TD world, but also jump everywhere, build everywhere, and carry around the combat unit. You can even use skill at the important point to finish extra mission for reward.
Once exploring the artistic style, we found adding simple light effect with 2D object and 3D terrain is interesting. This “Paper Cutting Style” provides game a nice 3D effects, preserves 2D animes style and also presents“Kawaii” feeling. It is fun to watch our cute character carring other cute towers around. (Of cause, it can also save budget!)

Finally a nice td
I wish there was more game...
As a self-proclaimed avid TD fan, this is easily one of the best TD game i ever played on steam. Not only can i move/reposition the tower's placement, the character's skill is also useful even until the final wave. The DLC overall is fun, but some really replaces the base character's role with exact skillset while (obviously) better. +1 point for being a touhou-inspired game. i give my personal rating of 9 out of 10
I'm a huge fan of both KR and Touhou. With both 100% completion and 1cc's with both games respectively. However, somehow this Touhou TD fangame is better than what Ironhide has been able to release since Alliance and maybe since Vengeance. The key feature of this game is being able to pick up towers freely which sounds broken until you realize the game is built around that. This, alongside hero abilities make the micro intense and doesn't feel like an AFK damage sim. There are a few translation errors and some things arent translated at all but that doesn't really affect the gameplay+ its a Touhou game, you think we fans actually understand the lore? Jokes aside, its a game very comparable to KR1-3 and Lunatic is pretty fun.
