About Yuri Sword Saga
This is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up game in which players fight by using both the close-range "sword" to slash enemies and shatter bullet barrages, and the far-reaching "shooting" style.
Players can learn techniques with various effects during the stage and can take on the mighty bosses in the style of their choice.
The game features action with the sword, by wielding the sword,
Attack the enemy
Eliminate some bullets
Parry and nullify enemy melee attacks
and other actions are possible.
With the sword, power is accumulated and special techniques such as "Iai" and "Ougi" can be unleashed.
There are also challenging elements, such as reinforcement only during the stage with spiritual power obtained by defeating enemies, or permanent reinforcement with coins obtained by defeating bosses.
The time is turbulent.
Two divine swords, Kuroyuri and Shiroyuri, were dedicated deep in the mountains of Kyoto.
Their powerful power was only there to keep the demons and evil spirits from doing evil.
One day, a large thunderbolt destroyed the shrine and the sheath where the sword was located.
When left unarmed, the sword's power waned and it could not glare at the enemy.
They took the form of a person on one side and a sword on the other, and when fighting the enemy, they kept the sword inside their bodies.
Their journey to defeat the monsters and demons that abound in the world and to obtain a new sheath begins.

Yuri Sword Saga is a tightly focused side-scrolling action game that confidently blends traditional shoot ’em up sensibilities with precise sword-based combat. Developed and published by Pico Games, the game presents itself as a fast, reflex-driven experience that emphasizes timing, positioning, and aggressive defense over cautious avoidance. From the moment it begins, it establishes a clear identity rooted in classic arcade design, but with modern polish and an emphasis on mechanical clarity that makes every encounter feel deliberate. Rather than overwhelming players with complex systems or heavy exposition, the game places its trust in raw gameplay, allowing its mechanics and audiovisual presentation to do most of the storytelling. The core appeal of Yuri Sword Saga lies in how it reimagines bullet-heavy action through the lens of melee combat. Players control Yuri, a nimble swordswoman whose primary tool is not a firearm but a blade capable of cutting through enemies and deflecting incoming projectiles. This parry-centric design changes the usual rhythm of side-scrolling shooters, encouraging players to face danger head-on rather than simply weaving around it. Success depends o…2 found this helpful

I freaking love the character designs, environments, art style and yuri. The game is indeed difficult, so it may take a while to complete, but it's worth it. A lovely game. <3
Cute and light hearted bullet hell game. It has moderate difficulty, which is good, since unlike lots of bullet hell game aim for hardcore genre veteran, but not too easy like games that only aim for fan service. This one is in the middle, not too hard for people that is not familiar with bullet hell but still post some degree of challenge.
Extremely cute and fun game.
yup it kicks butt.
