✦ AI summary

Asgard's Fall — Viking Survivors is a fun Vampire Survivors-style roguelike with clean art design and solid gameplay that keeps players engaged during early playtime, particularly as new features and build variety unlock. However, players report significant frustration with a recent update that wiped progress for early access players with minimal compensation, and note that the game suffers from repetitive audio and limited innovation that causes engagement to drop after the initial hours. Most recommend it as a budget purchase on sale rather than at full price.

After 25 hours and support during early access, the game is fully released and all the progress is lost. The compensation some cosmetics. Not OK at all.

I bought Asgard's Fall for under 5 euros on sale. For this price, the game entertained me more than enough, and I recommend it to anyone who's looking for another Vampire Survivors "clone". The game is insanely fun during the first few hours, as you unlock trophies and new features. I played almost 15 hours in the first 2 days. The graphics/sprites look clean and minimalistic. I love the art design in general. The soundtrack is well composed, but still repetitive. So are the sound effects. Not too long into the game, I put it on mute to listen to my own music. Although, this is a problem that many bullet hell/roguelite games have due to their short-lived action. As you unlock new features, the game starts to offer a deeper build variety. There's little to no innovation here, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Many complex features were borrowed from other games. The combination still works. However, many of the weapons are extremely unbalanced, and there's no option to banish choices. I missed this a lot, since it's basically standard in other games of this kind. There's an RNG factor to it, but the way weapon damage is calculated makes me wonder. Also, not every weapon offers…
