Dungeons & Dragons - Stronghold: Kingdom Simulator puts you in command of a medieval kingdom where you must expand your stronghold and outmaneuver rival realms to claim the throne. Manage everything from construction and farming to troops and morale while choosing between peaceful prosperity, military conquest, or the balanced Neutral path, with over 100 unique structures to build and fully-animated battles to fight.
In this remarkable kingdom simulator, your goal is to become Emperor by building and expanding your stronghold in competition against opposing computer-controlled kingdoms. Choose three courses of action to achieve Emperor status: Lawful (Maximizing the prosperity and morale of your poulace; Chaotic (total military victory over all your enemies); or Neutral (striving to achieve both objectives, the toughest challenge of all).
All the details of running a kingdom must be dealt with: construction, farm land, managing population, housing, troops, morale and changing seasons - and, of course, a multitude of D&D game monsters. Micro-manage all these factors personally if you want absolute control, or let the computer do much of it for you. Choose from pre-created worlds or computer-generated random scenarios for a new challenge every time. With the intuitive mouse-driven command interface, running your own kingdom has never been more fun, fast or easy!

Once you start playing and getting into it you'll experiences crashes. Error 26 and error 27 freezes the game.1 found this helpful
The real campaign is trying to reach the main menu without the whole thing crashing. Kingdom crash sim perhaps.

Instead of exploring dungeons one corridor at a time, the focus is on establishing, managing, defending, and expanding an entire realm. Originally developed by Stormfront Studios and published on Steam by SNEG, it is fundamentally a strategy and management simulation with a distinctly old-school approach. Its presentation is undeniably dated, yet the scope of its kingdom-building mechanics remains surprisingly ambitious. The main objective is to transform a developing stronghold into a kingdom worthy of an Emperor. Rival computer-controlled kingdoms stand in the way, but destroying them is not necessarily the only path to victory. Players can follow Lawful, Chaotic, or Neutral objectives. A Lawful approach emphasizes prosperity and population morale, while a Chaotic ruler concentrates on military domination.
