8.0/10 title, whilst far from perfect - it makes PMR look like Mario Karts! The Madness Engine never did lighting/shading ultra realistically - but it is ok, and better than PMR. The main benefits are, it runs really fast and fluid. Vital for a race sim. Pad control system isn't amazing, but again - it outshines PMR. The replays are better, with lots of nice little human movements in the tracking of cars. The Project Cars 2 base game, has plenty of cars and tracks - unlike PMR. See a theme here? PC2 runs stable, and has so many weather options. It also has snow and ice driving, which are incredible. In the day, with the sun out - I dislike the shadows, they can flicker. But PMR takes this to a whole new level. Night driving is fine, and wet weather is a performant scenario. I mainly use my sims as a single car hot lap tool. Today, compared to it's new younger Brother, PC2 is sooooo much better. It's not even close. PC2 is much more diverse and challenging. It's outshines PMR easily. I think if PMR could grow some plums and optimise the Giants Engine, improve the pad system, and adjust the physics and get it to run smooth and look more balanced and real it would close the gap.
