What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Steel Division 2 is a cinematic, realistic WW2 strategy game with no base building that focuses on macro-level tactical gameplay and includes PvP capabilities, which appeals to players seeking authentic military simulation. However, players express concerns about balance issues (such as allied units performing unrealistically against their historical counterparts), visibility mechanics that feel frustrating, and the overall sense that the game lacks ongoing developer support and content depth compared to similar titles.
Exactly what I came here for. Cinematic yet realistic macro level WW2 strategy game. No base building, no abstract grid or made up unit types. Pure and simple. PvP capable.4 found this helpful
f this game, another money grab game wiht no real love, if a panther on the allies side which no that should not happen but anyway, if a panther tank on the allie side can 1v1 a tiger then this game is a joke a panther can do it but at almost max range naaa that is a joke 8.8cm on a tiger would crack through the panther no so why do the allies now have a panther that can 1v1 germna tigers that is so dumb why dev's why do this and ruin the game it was bad enough the dam recon needed buffing I still can't see the enemy even if my dudes are at the front line on the high ground for god sakes like do I need to move them behind enemy lines no f that bro I want sight from the front and the air, f this game its just a cash grab no real love anymore lol a panther can kill tiger now no that is so unrealistic, ppl still leaving at the start of the game and recon still needing a buff, naa this game is not worth it anymore3 found this helpful
Bots in this game is somehow way better and smarter than Warno. They don't spend all they have and rush it all on main roads straight to your back lines.1 found this helpful
I tried my best to get into it as I usually love RTS games but there's just something about it that I just don't enjoy put with just being unnaturally bad at this style of RTS. Wargame Red Dragon got me into Eugen (one of the free games on Epic), but after that and then this I just don't have fun like I do with Men At War or Call To Arms. I don't know why though. I personally can't recommend it, but maybe you'll have fun with it, I don't know. It lacks any modding community and its abusrdly huge in file size for what feels like very little content in return vs Call To Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront. FPS / Temp wise it ran great.1 found this helpful
Good game. I don't know why there are so many people putting bad reviews on this game recently. It's a fun World War Two RTS, while maybe slightly dated, it's still fun and i'd say worth it.
it's good
