Its not very good game at all

Recommended. A tactical squad campaign in a lost genre, where tagging targets, ordering breaches and methodical room clears pair with constant three-track XP progression across a bomb-threat Las Vegas told in parallel with its predecessor. Loadout depth is massive, checkpoints are gracious, and the stealth-then-firefight rhythm of the convention centre and monorail levels is the formula at its best. Three XP tracks (Marksman, CQB, Assault) tick constantly, unlocking gear as each grows, and a carry-over save from the prior entry grants bonus experience. Squad AI jams teammates in doorways and ignores orders, solo missions strip the safety blanket, and the final gauntlet spams respawning enemies and grenades across seven-attempt frustration. Roughly seven hours of an extinct genre worth revisiting.

My first impression of Vegas 2 is really positive. The tactical gameplay feels very nice to play, and the controls feel clean without being clunky. Working with the squad, tagging targets and giving room-clearing orders has been a good introduction. These are opening-mission impressions, so I can't judge the whole campaign yet. I'm using visual and ultrawide mods, but the tactical gameplay and controls are what stood out to me.

I liked the levels and environments of the first R6V better, but this one improves on the original in basically every other area. Really fun experience, still holds up.
