Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction™ (Ubisoft Montreal)

While Double Agent may have sent the IP to a certain level of hell. (Mainly by being rushed) Conviction is the game where Splinter Cell, is no longer Splinter Cell at all anymore. Which I also find surprising considering it was made by the original Montreal team. Somehow, I feel like most of the original creators already left at this point, or did during the production of this game. Or perhaps they just felt stuck being typecast and wanted thus to take the IP in a different direction. After the story of Double Agent, Sam is on the run. Believing his daughter is dead, killing his own handler and best friend just for the mission's sake to stay in cover. Only to find out she is alive. This is the premise of the game. This is not Splinter Cell anymore. It's a cover action shooter with tactical elements. It has very little focus on staying a ghost like the previous games did. It has almost none of the humour despite the serious tone the other games did. This is pure murder and the game has zero interest in you as a player staying pacifist. Offers next to none of the tools the previous games did to allow you. Even if Sam has lost himself, he is now just a homicida…

Regarded the story, graphic, mechanism... If you are a fan of sneaky and stealthy, Splinter Cell Conviction should have a place in your collection. seriously ! Since the day it first came out until now, every 2 years, I have to return to this game at least once. Always fresh with new play style i have in mind. This is my opinion, your ideas may different , but i do suggest this goody to anyone. and it's cheap too, you can kill time while waiting for other AAA, AA games. Also Introduce to 2010s,2020s generations this great game.

As someone that never played any splinter cell game other than conviction and blacklist, I can't say how conviction holds up as a splinter cell game.. But I can say it's decent action game, however I wouldn't recommend it for 3 reasons. 1. Game is too short. 2. Gameplay is too repetetive. 3. Game doesn't care about your preferences. Explaining: 1. I completed whole story mode in under 4 hours and considering that servers for online missions were turned off there is nothing left to do in this game. 2. Game really quickly becomes stale, at the begining you start to unlock some gadgets but half of them aren't worth using most of the time. Any encounter with enemies looks almost the same. Either you get a jump on them and finish them from the shadows or get one of their friends as a human shield making open gunfight much easier, or they get a jump on you in which case you will just shoot from cover and use some gadgets to help you out. 3. You can upgrade your weapons and gadgets, there are many weapons to choose from which is really a huge plus, however there are many missions or certain sections in some missions where game just gives you weapons that you didn't even picked (it kinda r…

I enjoyed playing the game. I liked using the tag feature, stealth, hand-to-hand and direct combat. I would recommend it

good game but i cant use ps4 controlle whole reason i bought it. so now stuck with game i cant even play, any suggestions. can i still play this? huge bummer!
