this game strikes the perfect balance between horror and action, between interactive fiction and an actual video game, where as RE7 leaned more on the walking simulator side and RE 456 leaned more on the game side, i feel village is the perfect ground to appeal to both audiences and man did the story hit them high note feels, incredible story and characters, i can't believe this came out of a resident evil game let alone tell this story in the 2020s the performance for the most part is good tho i did have a few rooms where the framerate drops for literally no reasons and i could not fix it, off the top i can remember the atelier in the castle and a room in the DLC where you get a blue jar powerup in the attic, tho tbf i did not try too hard to fix em as they were not common the only weird thing i find about this game is how Ethans character is a bit inconsistent, he'll be mouthing off to these literall monsters in one moment like he's trying to be a Leon Kennedy and in the next moment he sees a common zombie and drops a dookie in his diaper, seams he's a badass in cutscenes and scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the gameplay dialogue overall, highly recommend, not only to resident evil fans…

Such a good game, great follow up to biohazard. I'm annoyed at myself for waiting so long to play it. And after the dlc? I didnt finish the game, the game finished me! I recommend this to everyone.

The main protagonist Ethan Winters was well improved on in this game from RE7. I enjoyed having multiple unique bosses to take down. I appreciate that this game stuck with the horror elements of the RE1,2,3,7. The overall story and characters were very interesting and you wanted too know more. Overall, 9/10
