What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Devil May Cry® 3 Special Edition is widely acknowledged as a great classic with excellent gameplay, but the Steam version suffers from poor controls and technical issues that require extensive troubleshooting or mods to make it playable. Players consistently recommend buying the HD Collection instead, which offers a better experience without the need for extensive configuration or fixes.
We all know the game itself is a great classic, but this Steam version is awful. Whoever designed the control system had some serious mental problems, and the team that approved it should be committed to an Outlast-level asylum for life. To be able to play, you have to hunt the internet for something that can fix this terrible control mapping. Thankfully, this garbage is no longer sold on Steam. 2 found this helpful
it's dmc3. enough said.
setting up a proper resolution, good sound and style switcher should've been your job, Capcom.
Devil May Cry 3 is an excellent game, but I have to agree with the consensus that going with the HD collection is probably the better option if you're not in the mood to spend a lot of time fiddling to make the game playable.
Don't buy it. Buy the HD Collection.
PC port needs a fix, check for mods
