If you're wondering, why the game is called Ziggurat... I really don't know. It sounds like a game about rats with cigarettes. Don't worry though, Ziggurat has the rogue-lite fantasy FPS formula for you. Always wanted to feel like a badass magical kid with glasses and a scar on your forehead? This game got you covered. You get magical weaponry like spellbooks, magic wands, you name it. Survive and try not get killed by killer carrots! Wanting a shorter magic blasting session? No problem, you can select the quests by difficulty and duration! As much as I'm thankful that my female homie recommended me this game, there's one thing I find kind of really funny: the main hero of this game looks like your Southern magic dealer you see on the streets! He deals with... magic! Get it? If you always wanted to fight against maniacally laughing killer carrots, killer pepperonis, evil magical popcorn with wings, bad witches and orcs wearing welding helmets - this game is right for you!

Really good game, I am waiting for Ziggurat 3.

The best UX I've seen. Great graphics and great replay ability due to random generation of EVERYTHING besides your skills. These developers really cared about their work and it shows.

There's something magical about Ziggurat 2... Serious Sam meets Diablo, Megabonk meets Doom... Haunted House meets Super Smash T.V.! Simple enough for an old timer like me but engaging enough to keep the ADHD child inside from losing interest. (I was gonna say "locked in" but that just sounds kind of wrong in this case, hahahaha)

Enjoyable roguelite fantasy shooter. Our heroes climb a magical tower, with each floor having its own set of enemies and traps. Level up and become stronger to defeat the boss. Afterwards upgrade general stats to improve survivability in future games. Even with the meta upgrades the gameplay remains skillbased enough (your circle strafe/dodge skills will be tested), so you need to keep your focus up especially on harder difficulties. There are multiple characters to unlock. Some are better with a certain weapon type, others have an unique ability like temporary invincibility but also have a constant mana drain as a penalty. With many weapons (60+) and even more perks (200+) to unlock the only downside is the sheer amount and randomness of all these choices. In some runs thus your "build" won't come together, as the game only lets you choose each level up between three options. That +20% damage perk to lightning staves just isn't very useful to your fire wielding wand monk. Then again in another run everything seems to come together with the right perks and weapons and your character feels like a god.
