✦ AI summary

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM features impressive animations and faithful adaptations of the anime's key moments, but players find the quick-time events frustratingly difficult and the progression hampered by repetitive mandatory side missions that feel like padding. The combat and jutsu mechanics work well and the game can be enjoyable if you adjust expectations for an arena fighter, though reviewers recommend picking it up on sale rather than at full price.

the quick time events on this ♥♥♥♥ are impossible, just wait till you get to the manda fight, you are not seeing the end of this day

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm is a fine game and adapts the most impactful moments into cutscene with QTE but lesser ones into scroll with words on it for example Star Wars movie intros. Art style is very nice and hard to believe it’s 16 years old with combat that works well and jutsus that are really well made. Progression is a nightmare many side missions for exp you need to do to progress the main story. These side quests are such a pain that I was feeling that these fillers in TV Series are canon and intended by Kishimoto himself. Overall for an anime fighting game Storm 1 gets a 6.5/10 for me. Grab it on sale only then it's worth it.

Don't come into this series expecting a tight and combo-crazy arena brawler and you will have a good time. It has it's positives, mainly with the animations, cinematics and roster, these will keep you going more than anything in this game because eventually you will hit the repetitive stride a lot of these 3D arena games usually do. Ultimate Mission Mode features a small hub world where you can increase your chakras by delivering ramen, completing the main missions and side missions, collecting scrolls to get more support abilities for characters and picking up treasure and ingredients sprawled around the map. It gets you busy, its a time killer for sure, especially if you want to complete everything, (I would not recommend, ten hours of the same missions is enough for me). The actual fighting is fine, as fine as it can be for something that only uses one button and certain air moves to string together combos and the camera is a bit shoddy somewhat as well during all of this with a bad targeting system. There is also items to turn the tides of the fights into your favor. The best part though is the ninjustsus and the beautiful, cel-shaded animations to go along with it. Aside fro…
