Do yourself a favor and get the sequels instead. The industries and passengers are incredibly frustrating to deal with on all levels. For industries what I assume is happening they have no idea of a supply chain in their code. i.e. try running a long ship line, where the producing industry will only ship out a first burst of goods and then arbitrarily stop, presumably because it thinks it would overfill the target recipient, leaving 4 of your ships running empty. Further on that, the industries don't really tailor their shipping rates to the actual consumption on the other end, meaning upon setting up, your station could be overflowing on all ends, until the sender realizes the other side cant actually process all that and proceeds to cut production in half, if not more. And passengers aren't much better either, all I know is speed and frequency matters. But how much exactly? Do I have to bankrupt myself with 5 trains all bleeding millions to get people to even consider using my lines? I played mostly on hard to get all achievements and GTHO. It wasn't much fun having your profitability completely crash because some industry doesn't feel like sending goods anymore.

Where the damn hell is the Nikola Tesla's laboratory? If you decide to assign your player to a designated objective, at least do highlight it on the map!

I wouldn't pick this up unless its on a DEEP discount, but it is still a good game and holds up well, but at anything near full price the sequels will serve you much better as in general they are just more complete, better polished games. This game was great for its time though and if its on a steep enough discount, could be a fun stroll through the series history.

Fun game where you move stuff and people which allows cities to grow. Can you planes, boats, trucks, trams, and trains.
