✦ AI summary

Rivals of Aether II receives mixed feedback from players, with praise for its character design, workshop tools, and appeal to platform fighter fans seeking an alternative to Smash, but significant complaints about balance inconsistencies, character viability issues, and controller recognition problems that can make it unplayable. Some players feel it captures what Melee could have been with more interesting characters and less punishing mechanics, while others find it lacks the polish and consistency of established competitors.

Pros: The character move sets are generally fun to play. Movement is very good, but not as good as melee. Cons: Floor hugging is dumb. Light-weights like Olympia and Wrastor suck and heavies like Loxodont and Kragg feel like they don't have to work nearly as hard. Extreme lack of things to actually do in the game other than vs mode. Would not recommend unless you are a platform fighting game fiend.

Melee wannabe, but with ultimate-like lame ass gameplay. The movement feels amazing, but, ultimately, unless u wait for ur opponent to approach enough times to get a read on their gameplan, or just remember every possible combo line to kill off one opening, then ur not gonna have a good time. Every character has way too many zoning tools.
