Last Spaceship

Last Spaceship is a side-scrolling puzzle narrative adventure. It's a short game, but it's good at creating the right atmosphere. The gameplay is fun and immersive, the graphics are nice, and the cutscenes are pretty good as well. The robot band was a definite highlight. Using the inventory items is always straightforward. There are also simple logic puzzles and puzzles which require switching to the robot companion or operating simple mechanisms (but no action sequences). There's also a maze, which, shockingly, is just as awful as any other maze puzzle. I don't mind the puzzles being simple, but I think there's too much handholding. I'm constantly being told how I should use an item or how I should go about solving a logic puzzle. There's an option to ask the companion for information, and I think all those comments should have been moved there, possibly as the second or third hint. Instead, if I ask for a hint, I'd prefer to just be told where I should go next, which, ironically, the game doesn't always tell me. Fortunately, that doesn't become an issue, as the explorable area is small enough, so it's easy to spot things which haven't been interacted with yet.

I liked it. Played with xbox controller, zero issues or bugs. 100% achievements. Very relaxed, no stress, just chill

[b]7.5/10[/b] [b]What is it:[/b] Like many games I’ve been playing these days, you start waking up/coming to consciousness/ being thrown smack dab into a situation and the rest of the game is trying to figure out what happened. I don't know if this is a common story-telling strategy for games in general or those of the puzzle genre. However lazy it may seem, I actually like it. You can get a lot of traction out of a player’s motivation when you drip feed them curiosity. In this game, you are a sentient robot sent to figure out what happened to the crew of a spaceship that belongs to your makers. This game is something along the lines of walking around, interacting with different sections of the ship to learn about what happened and solving different types of puzzles that act as mini roadblocks to progressing the story. [i]Disclaimer, I have not finished the game yet because what I believe to be the final chapter has a “puzzle” that I just can’t get into. I have to admit that I really loved the game! The puzzles are just right (I got stuck on a couple of them because i was not paying enough attention to surroundings). It's very possible to finish a lot quicker then what i did. The Devs are very responsive and follow up with bug fixes and help when needed but also doing it in a way that is not hand-holding, absolute champs <3 The story is very good and very relevant. I did both endings and Loved it. I do recommand this game <3

It not good, not bad... Look like devs first try. Puzzles are easy, story is simple, it works. A little clunky control, slow movements takes most of the gameplay. All can be done in an hour.

Great fun and very relaxing.
