Warfare Legacy Collection

Thanks to the devs for entertaining me throughout childhood.

This ♥♥♥♥ goes so hard. Feel like a kid again, but in HD

This game is fun and immerses you in the true atmosphere of the World Wars. It includes both World War I and World War II modes. We'll start with the World War I mode, which is fantastic in terms of map design, graphics, sound, and movement. You can win either by breaking through enemy lines or by demoralizing them with missiles and relentless pressure. However, the only drawback is how short the mode—and the game in general—is. The World War II mode is also good, but it features a different gameplay style. It relies on a more complex and challenging management system, and you can control troop deployment directly. That said, it has one issue: if units pass through a protected area where they can take cover, you have to move them manually. This is somewhat clunky and can strain your concentration. Overall, the game is enjoyable and I recommend it,. Its main flaw is its brevity; you can finish it and collect all rewards in 5 hours or less, depending on your pace.

Spent way too much time playing these as a kid happy to seem them on steam.

Having grown up with ArmorGames, I loved the Warfare games. The mechanics are solid, the gameplay is good. Warfare 1917 probably holds up the best of the original two, although it is a little too easy to cheese. I do like that each of the campaigns in it are slightly different in terms of what you unlock and in which order, as well as the upgrades (though eventually once you've upgraded the full tree, they are identical iirc). It does suffer from becoming too easy once you've figured the game out, even on harder difficulties. The upgrades make this even more true. By the end, I was just spamming tanks and the occasional machine gun crew, while dropping endless mortars and artillery that, with upgrades, lasted forever and dealt so much damage I never had to worry about an enemy tank. While making it to the other end of the map was one way to win, it was easier to just hole up in the trenches and go for a morale victory. The one part of the controls I did not like was that you have no control over where on the map (vertically) your units spawn, so you could doom entire swarms of soldiers if they spawn in the same vertical region as an active gas bomb or mortar strike. Warfare 1944 …

The good ol days of Armor Games on the browser on the school desktop. I miss Flash games. This series is peak
