In addition, several multiplayer historical reconstructions portraying some of the collosal battles of the First and Second World War are available as a gift.
Gameplay is similar to other Men of War based titles, with the ability to control your men, at divisional, squad and soldier levels.
The graphics have been developed to show the beauty and horrors of The Great War.

Our game recreates the atmosphere of the era of the First World War - uniforms and vehicles were made from sketches and drawings of the time of the World War I, game maps are based on real locations of hostilities. The basis of gameplay of the Battle of Empires is management of your infantry squads, organisation of their cooperation and skillful use of the vehicles provided to you. You will have to solve complex tactical problems with different possible outcomes, that can change the course of the mission. - Game environment can also be used to your advantage - all objects can be destroyed to create a path for infantry or used as a cover from enemy fire.

Built on mechanics reminiscent of the Men of War series, it places players in control of individual soldiers and squads within highly detailed battlefields, where every decision carries weight and mistakes are often costly. One of the defining features of the game is its granular level of control. Players can issue commands to entire groups or zoom in to directly manage individual soldiers, handling their inventories, weapons, and even ammunition. Very fun game when you're not softlocked by the mandatory, very tedious and incredibly annoying stealth segments at the start of many missions in the campaign, very poor level design on the part of the developers that serves only to keep people from accessing the great fun this game has to offer.1 found this helpful
tbh if youve got some extra money lying around and want a simple kind of funny bad ww1 narrative than id suggest this but be aware if you buy just the game without any faction packs you can only play the intro mission for each faction which is very jarring and leaves little in ways of content but otherwise i had maybe 1 crash in my time played and i recommend this for its cheap price.
Like Men of War series, you can take direct control (WASD, click to fire/ click to throw knife / axe) of every troop, vehicle, EVEN CARRIAGE HORSES. What's not to like? If you have WAND installed, for experiment, the results are hilarious when you can bounce all over when hit with explosive, get shot, get up and fight again. Don't foget to pick up your weapons, dynamite and knives if you drop them on the ground. The only problem is the fluidity of knife kill by close-up is very hard to control even with direct control.
