Colorful Recolor

Colorful Recolor is a good idea with faltering execution. Fun-ish for the first half (or a little more) of the game, then very frustrating for the latter half. The goal of the game is to get the crown in every level by moving through it without dying. You can only move into one direction until you stop, change colors by picking up color blobs, and you can only touch the same-colored walls or you die. You can see just from that description that, the bigger (and more gimmicky) the levels get, the harder it'll be to really see what you're doing and to plan your way through the levels without a copious amount of restarts. Well, exactly that happens. As the gimmicks mount (such as keys, teleporters, walls that change color when you touch them), it becomes pretty much impossible to solve levels without trial & error (or staring at a level for an hour working it out in your head, but even that becomes almost impossible in the last world). And if that isn't bad enough, the game does NOT have an undo function which I would consider an absolute necessity. Imagine trying to solve a level that needs 50+ perfect directional inputs and then not being able to undo a wrong input without restartin…

An okay puzzle game but not very memorable. Would only recommend on sale as asking £7 for this is ridiculous.

I'm about half-way through and really enjoying this! This game is a spiritual successor to the developer's previous game "Colorful Colore", which takes the good idea that the older one introduced and takes it to the next level! That game lacked here and there, but I think this is fantastic and a must play if you like the premise! The obvious improvements over the previous game include much better and cleaner visuals, more interesting mechanics like switching blocks, the level design here always seems clever, well-thought out and enjoyable to solve, there's an option to overlay a transparent grid to avoid wrong long moves, there's a move queue for when you play fast so that no turns are missed, and it's just overall a huge improvement and a clear recommendation. It does lack an undo feature, but I didn't really miss it on this one as it helps you avoid accidental moves most of the time, so having to restart a level seems fair and isn't very tedious on most of the levels. Overall a great puzzle game that looks good, feels good to control, and satisfying to solve. Play it!

Good game. I’d recommend waiting for a sale before buying it.

One of my favorite puzzle games, easy to learn and hard to master, nice graphics that don't go overboard, variety of mechanics that aren't too hard to understand. The game got so hard to the point that just winning a level felt like an accomplishment, let alone somehow managing to beat the whole game. I love how none of the game was unfairly hard either, I just kept pushing and pushing and once I beat I level I felt so smart. This game is not for the weak, but OMG it's so good

Haven't finished it, but I do enjoy playing this sometimes.
