Dear Esther: Landmark Edition

The first walking simulator is still one of the most creative ones in how it delivers its narrative. A story that is delivered through non-linear and randomised voiceover monologues, this really might come off as the most "insists upon itself" videogame to ever exist, especially considering the total lack of interactivity and the snail's pace at which the player character moves. If given a bit of patience and attention by the player, though, the story isn't that impenetrable, the melancholic vibes are immaculate, and the gimmick (that I don't think I've seen elsewhere) gives both a desire to replay this very limited game and an air of mystery that makes the game seem larger than the sum of its parts.

A very atmospheric game wich touches on some heavy subjects Its also pretty short taking only about 1 hour but it uses that pretty good 8/10 almost made me cry

A beautiful game. Even if you do not like walking simulators, you should play this little piece of art.

Absolutely fantastic game I don't think I've ever cried harder at a game ending in my life.

Pretty good little experience. A walking sim through and through, with lots of vibes and pretty visuals.
