About Hellpoint
Explore a sprawling sci-fi space station consumed by interdimensional horrors and uncover the truth behind a catastrophic quantum event, wielding dozens of weapons with unique abilities as you customize your warrior. Battle through dynamically-shifting environments triggered by a real-time orbiting black hole while enjoying seamless online and local co-op that lets friends join your journey at any moment.

Hellpoint is a dark sci fi RPG that takes place on a derelict space colony in the aftermath of a massive quantic cataclysm. You play a Spawn of the Authority brought to this world to investigate the circumstances of this event and unravel this deep interstellar intrigue. You will explore the open world of the Irid Novo colony, orbiting in real time around an enigmatic black hole which triggers all sorts of dynamic events to keep you on your toes. Build your warrior according to your play style, and venture alone, with or against friends in online or split screen multiplayer.

Once a pinnacle of human achievement, the Irid Novo space station has fallen. Its ruins are now overrun by cruel interdimensional entities acting as puppets of the malevolent Cosmic Gods.
You have been created by the Author, organically printed on Irid Novo and sent on a mission to find out the unholy series of events that led to the catastrophic incident known as the Merge.
- Irid Novo is a massive interconnected world full of mysteries, hidden passages and secrets within secrets - all for you to explore in any order you like. More dread and shivers awaits you as you travel deeper into the darkest corner of this forsaken colony.
- Dozens of melee and ranged weapons and armor pieces to suit your playstyle. Every weapon has unique special abilities that unlock the more you fight with them.
- A fascinating new sci fi universe reminiscent of classic sci-fi movies, set in the aftermath of a massive quantum cataclysm and complete with a deep lore and goosebump inducing soundtrack.
- The space station orbits in real time around an ominous black hole that triggers various dynamic events such as boss appearances, horde assaults as well as modified enemy stats and positions.
- If you are struggling, ask a friend to press Start to join in a couch coop session, or call for assistance online. The entire game can be completed uninterrupted in coop. The loot is shared, and the experience of local player two is saved and not watered down.

Messy, buggy and frustrating. The best thing about it is its atmosphere. Cosmic horror is a theme that is sorely lacking in video games, and it's an amazing setting for a Souls-like game. Unfortunately, everything else is disappointing. Combat can be too easily exploited and the maps are too big for what they have to offer, making exploration slow and frustrating. The biggest source of frustration has to be the fact that you cannot freely fast travel between Breaches (this game's equivalent of bonefires) without using a very rare resource. This makes returning to previous areas a massive chore, as you will always have to manually walk through the level again. Also the overreliance on platforming, coupled with dubious controls, makes this even worse. You will die more often to gravity than any enemy. While following a main NPC's quest, the NPC kept bugging out, adding an unnecessary and constant layer of frustration throughout. As for the "Blue Sun" DLC, it's a much better overall experience. While the areas are still big, they are more compact and offer a wide variety of scenery. There are also more interesting enemies, weapons and armors. Even though the level design of the bas…8 found this helpful
Dark Souls in Space | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW Yes, game is far from perfect. Yes, there are better Souls-like out there. Yes, in 2026, six years after its release, the score has to be lowered, as even better games have came out. But I had some fun playing it and the horror/space atmosphere was nice. Honestly a solid indie soulslike, and thats ridiculously hard praise to get--they usually have minimum budgets of $2 million plus! The highlight is the level design, there are solid vistas, sci fi concepts, and general uniqueness of the space station meshes. Reminds me a lot of the Mass Effect citadel! There's some jank, and the UI is generally crusty and strange, plus the use of Enter for all prompts, but NOT NUMPAD ENTER, forces you to abandon the mouse every time. Gamepad support is acceptable, but not for free-aim shooting the guns. And, for the love of all that is good and holy, make the camera look over the shoulder while aiming a gun, you cant see through your own ass to see what youre targeting, makes any ranged attacks impossible!1 found this helpful
I really liked the theme and the gameplay overall. However the map is very very confusing to an annoying degree. Also the 2 of the last couple bosses are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. I don't have the dlc. Just played the base game.
I installed this game. 19 grueling hours went by somehow. And I realized I still haven't gotten an inkling of fun, so why am I playing this? In short: "The game looks good but plays like ♥♥♥♥." - an angry gamer I admit some locations and the environment were very pleasant to look at (although some of the UI looks like low-effort barebone ass), but there's just one miniscule problem: getting there. Getting there means fighting a lot. Fighting a lot means experiencing the horrible gameplay mechanics this game for some reason decided to stick to, and a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from yours truly, to you. To list some: If you want to change the difficulty, whether it is up or down, you'll have to find a specific item for each of those actions. Problem is, it's a random drop, and it never ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ drops. So if you wanted to experiment with already cleared sections, but on a higher difficulty, to either have some "fun" or farm some resources, once you want to progress further back, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥. The gameplay experience then becomes a devastating entropy to your psyche, unless the gods (RNG) mercifully give you the chance to escape this torment. And also, I haven't found a…
Nahhhh I'm good. Double this and give it to the next person.
