The Oil Blue: Steam Legacy Edition

I love this game.

This game is a lot of pushing buttons and dials just to make some oil. Why do I wanna make oil? To sell iot? Even for a buck on sale, this seems like I overpaid. I finished the tutorial and then I was like...why would I continue playing. Fullscreen is also broken on Linux for some reason.

The only charm this game has is that it's old. It's a boring clicker manager of oil pumping, the game is slow and the gameplay is not really that engaging. I get that it's a simulator, yes, but why pick the most boring part about that particular job?? The resolution doesn't fit any modern display, the game don't even tell you what resolution it has, there's only 2 full screen options: little squared game in the center of a black screen or big pixelated square filling the screen. I'm only going to "play" this game past the 10 min quit moment cause I have 2 card drops left, just so you know.

this game is a high water mark for clickers in my opinion. the sound design and UI is so deeply satisfying in a machinic way. juggling a full loadout of rigs and learning the timing of each machine has been so enjoyable. I hope to make a game like this someday.
