About Keepsake

An unforgettable Adventure.
It’s Lydia first day of school. In the magic academy where hundreds of scholars should be, none can be found...
Keepsake will immerse you into a journey beyond compare. Assisted by a dragon afraid of height, Lydia takes on to explore the academy’s empty structures in search for her best friend Celeste.
Curiosity turns to worry when she stumbles on something she has not seen in a very long time: an old doll, a keepsake she gave her best friend some 8 years ago. As she grabs it, strange images of Celeste’s life begin to fill her mind...
Do they hold the answer behind the scholars’ disappearances mystery?

Keepsake was a labor of love developed 10 years ago by us as an independent studio. For its anniversary, we thought it would be great to see it live again on steam and gain a new following, as we feel that it is still relevant today. It was hard and long, but we loved developing it and still remember those days fondly :)
It's a point-and-click style adventure game blending 3d and 2d which would be perfect for anyone looking for a slower-paced style of game, with great imagery and touching story about a father and his daughter.

What Steam players say

Developed and published by Wicked Studios, Keepsake is a traditional point-and-click adventure that captures the spirit of classic puzzle-driven games while telling a heartfelt fantasy story. Originally released in 2006 and later reintroduced to modern audiences through its Steam edition, the game invites players into the mysterious Dragonvale Academy, a prestigious school of magic that has inexplicably fallen silent. You take on the role of Lydia, a young student arriving for her first day, only to discover that every teacher and pupil has vanished without a trace. Joined by Zak, an unusually charming dragon who amusingly fears flying, Lydia begins a journey to uncover the truth behind the academy's disappearance and to find her lifelong friend, Celeste. From the opening moments, the game emphasizes atmosphere, mystery, and emotional storytelling over fast-paced action, creating an experience that feels more like an interactive fairy tale than a conventional adventure. The narrative gradually unfolds through exploration, conversations, and magical visions that reveal fragments of the academy's forgotten past. Rather than relying on dramatic plot twists or constant danger, Keepsak…
Absolute Cinema! This game has it all, the music the visuals, the atmosphere! I am floored! I'm sure many will say the writing is bad but charming, but im here to say, It's really funny, It's SO funny, I was kackling like crazy, I love Lydia and Zak so much they are so dumb and gay! Only major complaint is that Zak is really ugly and in my headcanon he stays a dragon or wolf or cat. Oh yeah also there are some areas prone to heavy crashing, so save often and save well, or download the unofficial path made by fans, it preserves the game nicely while fixing the crash problems and adding some goodies! Highly recommend if you're looking for a chill fun time!
the last achievement is broken, but this game is super nostalgic. For how old it is, it's gorgeous. the puzzles are hard in some spots, don't be a baby.
I originally got this game as a child in 2006 but never completed it, ad I finally got to finish it almost twenty years later, so keep in mind that I might be biased in my review. First of all, I feel it's worth it to specify that Keepsake is not a point-and-click game in the usual (Monkey Island/Sam & Max) sense. Here, the only points of interaction between the player and the world are the puzzles, and therefore I'd be more inclined to categorize this game as puzzle adventure. The puzzles are the real strength of this game in my opinion, going from being trivial to requiring some serious brainpower (I'll confess I threw in the towel a couple of times, or maybe I'm just stupid, go figure). I'll say though that the concepts behind a couple of puzzles required me to make use of the hint function (there's four levels to it: the first three give you progressively more useful suggestions while the fourth outright solves the riddle for you). The second big thing Keepsake has going for it is the atmosphere: the grandiose setting combined with an evocative soundtrack really make the game stand out despite it being quite generic in terms of medieval fantasy. The story could have used some…
the puzzle maker is my op
A good classic point and click style game. The discussions mention a lot of crashes, with the unofficial 1.7 patch and Nathan Bagg's patch I completed the whole game with 1 crash. I played the game in windowed mode and that crash happened by leaving the game idle for 2 sets of dialogue if that is useful. A fast travel mod would make the game so much better though, getting lost is half the game.
