What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's ambitious scope, impressive technical achievement, and vast universe with hundreds of planets and sandbox freedom, appealing especially to those interested in early access projects with strong developer support. However, several reviewers express concerns about its early alpha state, noting poor animation quality, lack of engaging gameplay activities, performance issues even on modest hardware, and a visual presentation that doesn't match the developer's promotional materials, making it a risky purchase for those seeking a polished experience now.
It's a very curious game (in a good way) with huge potential, if you want to see the game grow then support it, if not play the demo and keep an eye on it. The technical achievement is impressive and the scale of the landscapes can be stunning.8 found this helpful
Still very much in early alpha since its a brand new game, but since it has been out there already has been a ton of new content being created and I really look forward to seeing the game in its full potential! The games planet mechanics is already very advanced with over hundreds of planets. The in game editor is starting to work very well, you can build your own spaceships and build your own characters. I am extremely blown away at how massive the universe really is and If you are okay with early developement and want a voxel pvp basebuilding game that has a endless galaxy then this is a definite buy for you!8 found this helpful

I purchased this game intrigued by what the description had to offer. I don't recommend it in its current state. I found the concept interesting, but sadly the gameplay didn't even tickle the itch because of low quality animations and lack of activity. I liked the idea of building/customising vehicles shown in the youtube video made by the developer and the more realistic looking furniture shown in the preview snapshots on the store page. I originally purchased this game with a low-spec pc, because it could run minecraft without a problem I assumed it would run Cube Universe and it did not - and I have no clue why, because it has nothing in it that should require a higher spec pc. I purchased a new pc with mid-range specs and the quality didn't improve.4 found this helpful
This is like Runescape leveling system, Skyrim races, No man´s sky ambition and Minecraft Infinites world had an orgy and then created something that had all of that and a lot of love. This is the best and most relaxing experience that i ever had with a sandbox(even though its just an alpha!) Give it a chance, although it may look weird and like a minecraft clone its MUCH MORE than that1 found this helpful
It's back to steam! Hope to see some momentum form for this game. Its by a one guy dev team, they take feedback decently, and the game is pretty interesting. The game is a creation out of love, I think it's worth looking into at least.1 found this helpful
