Explore 50 years of gaming history through over 100 playable Atari classics across seven platforms, enriched with interactive timelines featuring interviews, documentaries, and behind-the-scenes stories from the creators themselves. Celebrate the milestone with six brand-new games including the long-awaited Swordquest sequel and reimagined versions of iconic titles like Yars' Revenge and Haunted Houses.
At the heart of Atari 50 are the Interactive Timelines, which combine historical trivia, digital artifacts, over 60 minutes of new interviews, documentary footage, and playable games into one cohesive experience. When you encounter a game in the Timelines, you can immediately play it without losing your place.
The massive selection of over 100 games spans seven different platforms: Arcade, 2600, 5200, 7800, Atari 8-bit computers, and, for the first time ever on modern consoles, Atari Lynx and Jaguar! Play the classics like Tempest 2000, Asteroids, and Yars' Revenge, or dive into some deeper cuts.
Behind every game are the stories of Atari, what was happening at the company, and what went into the creation of the games and the hardware on which they ran, all told by the people who were there.

- Swordquest: AirWorld – Yes, you read that right: After nearly 40 years of waiting, the team at Digital Eclipse has created a new entry in the legendary Swordquest series, inspired by the design concepts of original Swordquest creator Tod Frye. - Haunted Houses – The original “survival horror” game for the Atari 2600 gets a modern 3D voxel-based sequel, featuring more houses, more spooky situations, and more urns.

I grew up with some of these. Going to the arcade to play games with friends was the highlight of weekends and after school. This set of games is well worth the money. Surgery every 6 months means I get to play games for not only killing time but to keep my mind off pain levels until I recover. I buy games primarily for surgery recovery purposes. Terrible input lag with mouse controls. For context, I have the Atari Flashback Collection for Switch and a Pong Countercade with a spinner by 1UpArcade, and an Atari Flashback 8 with the spinners, and all have MUCH more responsive controls for games like Pong, Breakout and Super Breakout than this app. Having such terrible input lag really defeats the purpose of having accurate mouse-based controls. And why can't a PC have as low input lag as a Switch, or these other devices that are much cheaper than my PC, aren't PCs more powerful? Why does a 1UpArcade product have lower input lag than this Atari product? WHAT. WENT. WRONG? Also, no leaderboards, and many of these are high-score based games, so what is even the point of playing them?? Currently Atari Vault is a better product.3 found this helpful
