At best, it is OK. But way too many instant deaths - not even difficult but gets really annoying

Combat is a bit clunky and the movement is a bit too floaty. No map icons for items so finding collectibles is a bit of a chore. Bosses are extremely unfun and poorly designed. But! I did like the game overall enough and the devs did a great job with the art and soundtrack!

This game is on surface something i'd enjoy, but the more i played it the more i realized it was just the same thing over and over, even with items gained. The combat of the game is boring. The puzzle-solving in this game is either very easy or straight up leap of faith and trial and error. It seems like the developers had in mind that the mentality of "I wonder if this block that usually kill me is passable...?" is a good mentality to give players. Just to be clear, "leap of faith" and trial and error is necessary to beat the game. Only redeeming factor this have has is the nostalgic sprites and the music is great. But the gameplay is boring and frustrating cause it feels like it's the games' fault i died.

I got it very cheap and had not much expectations. It feels like those old NES games, but much more approachable. After a while it becomes quite addicting and I could not stop playing until seeing the end. You can feel that a lot of love went into this. I am looking forward playing the second game.

It’s a decent platformer with puzzle elements that are enjoyable since figuring them out doesn’t take too long. Overall, it’s what you would expect from a retro throwback Metroidvania.

I found the game to be overall fun, but some of the technical jumps were frustrating.
