Sherlock Holmes and The Hound of The Baskervilles

Certainly a "Puzzle" game in name only. Aside from two puzzles that were actually engaging and one that was unreasonably hard in comparison to the rest on the game (played on hard), this game holds your hands and constantly praises you for doing ANYTHING in the game. This is a great game for someone in elementary school as aside from Call of Duty 4 music that keeps blaring in your ear non stop it is a fairly competently made game that would be fun for an hour or two for someone who isn't familiar with puzzle games. PS: getting inebriated and playing with someone also works, just don't expect much engagement treat it more like a show.

Absolutely insane take on the classic Holmes story, which is something I did not expect from Frogwares. Having said that, they have really done one of the most pleasant casual adventures around... if you turn off the music. The hint system works, the puzzles are just cumulative enough, and the plot is absolute nonsense that has very little to do with the original story, with Sherlock or with whatever, and this is laudatory.

Easy game play. Fun storyline.

I know the Sherlock Holmes stories are old and well known but to actually completely disregard the spirit of the series and make the whole thing a rather lazy mostly hidden objects game with a weak supernatural mystery is just sad. I was hoping for a game with a new twist on the old story to keep it fresh but this was just sad in my opinion. The whole over reliance of hidden object puzzles really ruined this for me in game play, as for the story changing a story about Holmes uncovering the not so supernatural truth of a family curse was ruined by the curse just being made real.
