I like the concept and the aesthetics, but oh my god is this an unfairly frustrating game. The difficulty doesn't come from tactical complexity or puzzle-solving: it stems from how inconsistent the game is. Despite being ostensibly turn-based, sometimes it randomly turns real-time (seemingly because you momentarily went out of the enemies' field of vision). The jumping arc which is supposed to show where you land is not always reliable (e.g., you might fall right through a platform the arc tells you you're about to land on). The ridiculous "9 seconds to lockdown" mechanic forces the player to jump back and forth around the level to make sure they are seen by every enemy instead of doing actual combat; and sometimes, the game bugs out and shows that you have more seconds left than you really do, before suddenly going into lockdown. I could handle it if this were a hardcore tactics game or a puzzle that forced me to replay multiple times to work out the solution. I could bear with it if it were an action game that required fast reflexes and surgical precision. But it's neither of those things. Cool old school style game it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard, my ONLY gripe is the controls you tell it to jump in a certain direction and the system just refuses to do so while at other times doing exactly what you want mostly ♥♥♥♥♥ up on you during combat, that said it's still a marvelous game yall should check it out for sure!

A wonderful little action-puzzle game that is short and sweet. I come back and play it about once a year and have a great time. When you inevitably exit the stealth to remove a high priority enemy, you will then play turn-based combat, deciding between defense and offense with every move, trying to strike the right balance each turn. Made in 2015 and barely updated, there's some technical jank to deal with, like resolution size and screen scaling. A fun challenge with simple gameplay that has a high ceiling for skill expression. I highly recommend you give it a shot when it's on sale.

A thoughtful platformer that has a surprising amount of depth. Turn-based combat forces you to think about your approach while some unlockable skills (such as hanging enemies from ceiling) gives you a variety of options. A definite recommend for people who appreciate a more measured approach to gameplay in 2D platformers.
