If the "spot the 10 differences" genre had evolved, then Knock Harder would certainly have been at the forefront of this movement. The game doesn't just stupidly suggest loot ammo and look for light sources. Here you need to rely on logic, intuition and a willingness to make mistakes. The player's task is to get out of the paranoid delirium caused by a parasite resembling a Half-Life headcrab and hold out until the end in the allotted time. ONLY IF YOU ARE SURE THAT EVERYTHING AROUND YOU IS REAL! What makes Knock Harder stand out from other Snail-Ninja Studio games? Firstly, it's an unusual combination of two different drawing styles. Secondly, different difficulty levels affect the gameplay, forcing the player to adapt to new conditions (and to the endings too, but as usual, like in Dead Rising - if you want to see everything, cut hardcore and go to the end). But the most important thing is a unique concept where you need to pay attention to every little thing, every speck of dust, every bullet and every reflection in order to distinguish reality …

Bought Knock Harder on a whim. Got an engaging and novel anomaly hunting game. You really shouldn't skip this one.

Brings back memories from my childhood when i used to play it.

Knock Harder has a very interesting concept that was kinda ahead of its time considering all the "spot the anomalies" horror games being prevalent in recent years. The execution is quite decent as well, especially for an indie dev. Visuals are simple, yet memorable and functional enough to appreciate them during gameplay. Sound effects are punchy and believable. I didn't encounter any bugs as well. Overall this game is definitely underrated, but it has it's flaws. There are lots of fun and unique ways for the game to mess with your gameplay visually and functionally. But some of the "anomalies" are way too minute and unfun to end your playthrough on. Ideally, you have to create a list of the most minute ones to routinely check them every time you respawn. But in no way a player would threat a random minimalistic indie game that seriously. You usually come come back to it, do a couple of runs, and repeat after a week or two. By that time you naturally forget all those small differences and end you run on the again and again. I love this game, but I don't justify tryharding it as much as dev expect you to to experience all the content and get 100%.
