About The Deepest

✦ AI summary

The Deepest is an arcade survival game where you descend into procedurally generated caves, scavenging materials and battling hostile creatures in your quest to reach the bottom. With no guaranteed endpoint, you'll need to manage your resources wisely to survive increasingly dangerous depths and uncover what lies at the end.

The Deepest is an arcade survival game in which you have to explore caves, gather materials and meet various hostile creatures.

The creatures that live in these caves are worth wary of, but you can also attack them by spending the collected materials.

It is not known how far the end of these caves is, or if there is any, your task is to find out.

✦ AI summary

The Deepest is widely recognized by players as an asset flip using unmodified Unity store assets, with the developer INFINITE BRIDGE accused of repackaging and reselling someone else's work without attribution. Players report severe technical issues including unpredictable jump mechanics that cause clipping through geometry, broken menus, and unfinished presentation that makes the game unplayable for more than a few minutes. The overwhelming consensus is to avoid this title entirely, as it represents bad faith asset flipping rather than a genuine game.
Warning: Asset Flip!
The Deepest is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", INFINITE BRIDGE, took the Cave Exploration Starter Kit Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Robert "That Games Guy" Wells, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. It gets worse... "Cave Exploration Starter Kit" has also been shamelessly dumped on Steam by other asset flippers apart from INFINITE BRIDGE:

"No Lights", asset flipped by Cubamano/EasyGames
Take a look for yourself... it's exactly the same game! INFINITE BRIDGE has shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Road to Gelendzhik Palace" = [url…

Perhaps it's an issue of controls, but this game doesn't feel complete and it's very difficult to play for longer than a couple minutes. Jump heights are seemingly random, ranging from small hops that seem sensible and intended, to giant accelerations upwards that leave me stuck in the ground 9 times out of 10, causing me to have to restart. On top of that, exiting the game and starting new without closing the window itself leaves you at a single, unloading screen with the faint image of a level background and nothing more. I can't even comment on the concept, gameplay, or fun of the thing because my longest run was about 45 seconds before I got stuck in the roof again.

Low-poly doesn't necessarily mean low effort. Unfortunately this game is. Also looks like it's a possible asset flip so to me it's a clear no go.

This game just feels like an asset flip. I was hoping for an old school Atari 2600 experience, but there's no real menu, there's no control explanation, you just jump at unpredictable heights. I'm a big indie supporter but this doesn't seem polished, it seems like bad faith game pumping. Take a look at other reviews from INFINITE GAMES, and avoid these.

This is the best game I ever played. As I continued to fall into the dark void after clipping right through the wall three times in a row I realized that this game taught me how to love life itself and how to manipulate time and space.
