About Peppered

Peppered is a real-time strategy game about snowball fights!

You command a group of friends in snowball fights against kids around the neighborhood.
Make them scoop up snow, let them throw snowball at opponents and build snow walls to defend yourself.

Features
 • ~30min playtime
 • 4 challengers

Each time a kid gets hit they will become colder and colder. If they become too cold they'll run home crying.
However, each side has a campfire where they can warm-up and "recover".
Extinguishing the opponent's campfire first can pay-off later!
Simple and elegant, a fantastic proof-of-concept
Peppered displays a rarely-seen genre: A tile-based RTS (which isn't a TD). It also has a few mechanics that are quite novel: each tile has a varying amount of ammunition that your units must take time to gather, and your campfire's AOE healing effect can make a huge difference if utilized correctly, but you'll need to leave it to gather more ammunition. Is it flawless? Of course not. The overlapping displays can make issuing orders or checking ammo counts at a glance quite difficult. But I'd love to see the PvP tactics that this game would result in. I imagine fierce hit-and-run sessions where each player tries to extinguish the opposing campfire without losing units, and even that wouldn't guarantee victory. That said... It is very short. I was completely done with it in under half an hour. So spend only what you feel that's worth. With that caveat - recommended.

I mean I guess it works mechanically but i"m still a bit nauseous from that penguin game.

This is just barely a game. You don't get any instructions, even after playing a few round, i don't understand half of how the game works and i especially don't understand what you need to do to win? also too expensive for what you get

Not worth $3. Worth only the smallest possible price assuming you're really desperate for a strategy game to play for like 30 mins.
