This game is slow-paced ans designed to semi actively played. You'll progress faster and better while leaving your plants away, maybe dying, and taking care of them when you're back, than by constantly picking up their every needs. Greenhearth Necromancer is a cozy, semi-idle game perfect for those seeking a character-driven story that develops naturally over time. The nature of the semi-idle feature does mean that there is no way to "speed-run" the game or play it perfectly, but that is what makes it such an enjoyable and unique experience. Greenhearth makes you slow down and think about how you want to manage your time and resources both inside and outside the game setting. What you get in return, besides a beautiful garden and supreme cozy vibes (shout out to the radio and sound machine), is a heartwarming story about navigating grief, appreciating cycles, and building community in the face of loss and change. The eclectic cast of characters, each unique in their own ways but perfectly meshing together, are also a welcome treat. You'll find something to appreciate and admire about each of them (even the ones you might find initially standoffish or hard to read). I like to play this while building out my D&D resource library (be sure to check out the DLC if you're interested in some specs for your own TTRPG setting!), in between cleaning spurts, or just in the background while reading/writing/crafting…
Absolutely adorable game! Very cozy and relaxing~ if anything, I would just make needs decay a little slower, but I still very much love leaving my little garden for a while and coming back to take care of it again <3
