Idle & Incremental Lovers recommends Growmancer despite some caveats. Growmancer is a cute and cozy "gardening" game with a short but interesting upgrade tree. It feels a bit too grindy, though, and the prestige system is just a lazy adjusting of diffulty and rewards. + Very relaxing. + No enemies, just you and the nature. +/- You'll be doing a lot of wandering around, it's repetitive but might be a part of the "gardening" genre. +/- A decent number of upgrades bring new elements to the gameplay, but most of the time you'll be grinding to level up each upgrade from 1 to 10. Feels like an artificial way to get a longer game. - The prestige system is another way to artificially boost the length of the game : it brings nothing to the gameplay except a scaling of difficulty and rewards. - Game isn't well optimized, lags a lot in the endgame. Despite the later caveats, the game stays enjoyable, but i wouldn't recommend it if you're a dopamine addict. It's a game for the patient and meditative gamer. *I've just done my part to help the environment. I unplugged 6 electric vehicles that no one was using.* Found this review helpful? I liked the game. It's like Lyca but 3D, but I have to be honest, I am dissapointed. The visual of the game is really flat, the only thing I find nice is the main character. The menus are kind of ugly and the performance gets worts the more you go on. Nevertheless is funny and entertained but unlike the other games of this type, I don't want to do the 100% and I think that's a bad signal. If you find it with discount, is good, if not, I think you better go with Lyca.

The design of this game is actually great, and the core concept is well executed. However, there is an issue with how the game is categorized on the store that changes the expected experience. On May 18th, Steam announced an update to their store tags, changing Clicker to Incremental. Despite this, the developer never went back to remove the idler tag from the game store. This is misleading because the gameplay is absolutely not an idler. Instead of being able to step away and let the game play itself, it requires you to interact with it the entire time. If you go in expecting a true idle experience where your progress automates in the background, you are going to be disappointed by the constant manual input required. Normally, I could easily refund a game like this that misrepresents its genre. However, the Steam refund policy is not intended as a way to try out games for free. Because of that, relying on the refund system here is a risk, leaving you stuck with a product that does not play the way it was advertised. Because the store tags are misleading and force you into an active playstyle when you are expecting a relaxed idle experience, I cannot recommend this game. It is …
