Fiery catacombs

Wow.. what else can really be said. Cleared my expectations leaps and bounds. I had played Danko and the mystery dungeon before entering the catacombs and i can now see why danko is in my top 10 list of games. Danko pulling inspiration from such an incredible, depthful game just makes sense. Bravo to the dev guy, loved the product and am excited for many more product to play later. love love loved it thank you

Fiery Catacombs is a very basic 2D retro pixel platformer where you control a guy with a hammer collecting treasure by running around a mine thing, jumping over fires and bashing blocks with your hammer. This is a really badly implemented game. The game runs too fast, so to get around this you can actually set the game speed manually. Talk about sloppy. There's no working fullscreen mode, and there's no widescreen support, the game displays 4:3 pillarboxed, despite launching on Steam in 2019. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC.
