✦ AI summary
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III builds on the series' strengths with an engaging story and a notably impactful final act that many players found memorable, though some found the pacing slower than previous entries. The main complaint concerns the PC port's interface issues, particularly difficulty viewing MP and CP during battles. Players unanimously recommend playing the previous games first, and existing Trails fans appear satisfied enough to continue with the series.
Trails of Cold Steel 3: Infinity War1 found this helpful
Never in a Trails game I have felt the need to recommend one. You need to play the previous games before this? My answer would be yes. But Cold Steel III takes everything that makes Trails games work.. and dials it up to 200%. And then has in my opinion one of the most jaw dropping final acts in a JRPG I have enjoyed. NOTE. I am writing this as I finish the game, so I might be still on the hype of the ending.
And so the third chapter of Trails of Cold Steel comes to an end again (Nightmare difficulty). Just like the first time, I can say I’m satisfied, even though I once again found this chapter much slower compared to Cold Steel 1 and 2. Anyway, for now I’m finding Nightmare difficulty really easy compared to the Abyss difficulty in Trails Into Reverie. And starting tomorrow, it’s time for the replay of Trails of Cold Steel IV (which is my favorite chapter). Vote: 8.5/10
the ui has become rubbsih and cant even see the mp or cp when in batlte. Cant beleive they did not fix when port to pc.
Remember what I said about how CS1 shocked me with how it managed to outdo Sky FC's cliffhanger? Yeah.
Great soft-reset for the Erebonian gang and Rean specially. At this point if you've played trails, you'll just play this one but do know, it is an enjoyable one
