About The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd
Retrieve ancient artifacts as a Gralsritter and uncover the hidden truths of the Septian Church when a routine mission in the mysterious realm of Phantasma spirals into a deeply personal adventure that challenges everything you thought you knew. This challenging tactical RPG delivers intense combat, deeply written characters, and a stunning soundtrack while diving deeper than ever into the stories of your beloved cast.
On the eve of another successfully completed mission, high-ranking member Father Kevin Graham is immediately assigned to retrieve one more artifact that rests beneath Grancel Cathedral. What’s more, even though this is a task he could easily complete on his own, he must reluctantly do so in partnership with his newest recruit, rookie Gralsritter and childhood friend Sister Ries Argent.
Thus begins the start of a routine mission that becomes anything but, delving into a new and mysterious realm that follows an unnaturally strict set of rules: Phantasma. Therein, the history of the Septian Church and the pasts of the many familiar faces who took up arms for the sake of Liberl’s future will be laid bare…and some may have been better off staying forever sealed behind closed doors.
A More Personal Adventure
Trails in the Sky has become a fan favorite for thoughtfully written characters down to its NPCs, and for its final installment further focuses on fleshing out its playable cast via Moon and Star doors found as the story progresses.Familiar Tactics, Brutal Combat
Widely considered the most challenging title in the series, players are encouraged to iterate upon the combat style they’ve come to know in the 3rd’s predecessors by either enjoying its in-depth story on Easy or crying with frustration on its unforgiving Nightmare difficulty. One More from Falcom Sound Team jdk

So one chapter closes, and now another one begins. Trails in the Sky is genuinely the best game trilogy I've played thus far, a coherent and classic JRPG story that seems to be quite literally just the prologue to the larger series, with 11+ more games to go and counting. I legitimately cannot wait to pick up Trails from Zero and begin the Crossbell arc, and eventually get to the Cold Steel arc and see the rest of the Erebonians. While there were some moments that dragged due to me needing to grind and prepare--especially as a semi-completionist when it comes to games like these--Every hour of this game was absolutely worth the investment. Also, 16 playable characters with full character development arcs and story prominence?? Absolutely DELICIOUS! Also, a lot of people told me this game would be the darkest game in the series, however that's not quite true, though not that it's a bad thing it isn't. Sky 3rd does have some very dark contents--particularly near the final dozen hours of the game--but it's not that much to determine the entire game as dark. It definitely is as lighthearted as the prior two games, which is just the perfect kind of lighthearted storytel…1 found this helpful
This is a most play for those that finished Sky SC. Definitely do all the doors as well. This game is one of a kind and worth the time.
All I've got to say is that this was one crazy and unconventional lore dump, but in a good way. I've always found Kevin to be one of the best characters in the series, from the very first time he appeared in the airship while a heartbroken Estelle grieves for a lost love. He's such a breath of fresh air to rest of the cast. He just carries a strange maturity that is equally magnetic as it is repulsive. He's weird, just as his character should be. I'm glad we got to see more of his mysterious past and laid bare all of it. You're in for quite a ride that is literally out of this world. All in all, the final instalment has left us with more questions than answers. It makes sense now why this series has expanded into a mega-series as it is now. I thought Second Chapter didn't need a sequel...until this came along. It actually gave us a satisfying conclusion to the Sky Saga whilst throwing us seeds for future plotlines to grow that we can look forward too. I'm excited to dive deeper into them.
Great rpg story is a little disconnected to the over arching plot but still got some good points and it is my favorate to 100% of the ones i have done
this game is woke i love it
one of the best conclusions to a JRPG series. Highly recommended. The tonal shift, takes a major shift compared to the other games, but if you played the first 2 games, you HAVE TO PLAY THIS GAME TOO. a lot of characters get fleshed out in this game, and so does the world, its crazy how expansive this world is, and if you already know, this franchise is like 20 games deep, and this is only the 3rd game. one of the things i didnt like about this game is the fact that it is all just dungeon crawling, in the other 2 games, you had an actual world to traverse and some occasional dungeons and strongholds, in this game its just dungeon after dungeon, with only mobs in between, which most definitely makes the game faster to play through, as they have finally decided to add a fast travel system in this game.
