✦ AI summary

Pink Gum is a brief artistic experience about life's stages presented through bubble-popping mechanics, featuring distinctive watercolor visuals and solid sound design that players appreciate for its thought-provoking, experimental approach. However, opinions split on its execution: some find it meaningfully unsettling and recommend it readily, while others feel the dark thematic content combined with its creepy visual presentation doesn't quite land emotionally enough to justify the experience, suggesting it's best purchased on sale given its very short length.

Very short game, bright in colours, dark in phantasy. Playing it made me feel uneasy. The pictures arisen in your mind are kind of creepy, there´s the pink colour and that but the topic is darker. Normally I like that kind of artistic and experimental games, but this one could not catch me. I recommend buying it on sale, if you want to try. To get it off your mind you might need some chocolate ;) Homemade Chocolate Pudding Ingredients 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup baking cocoa 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon salt 4 cups whole milk 2 tablespoons butter 2 teaspoons vanilla extract OPTIONAL: Sweetened whipped cream and M&M's Directions In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in butter and vanilla. Spoon into individual serving dishes. Chill until serving. If desired, garnish with whipped cream and M&M's.

A short, interesting and disturbing take on life. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for something to make them think (and maybe have a midlife crisis.) I also really appreciate the watercolour art style.

Decent short 'game' (or an experience) The only bad thing is somehow the credit scene has no music at all

Pink Gum is a short visual narrative told by popping a series of gum bubbles. Other reviewers have called the game dark or disturbing, but I don’t think that’s necessarily true. We all know that our time on this earth is limited. Pink Gum doesn’t really stray far from that point. You can vaguely see the symmetry of our existence but there is no joy and pain to be found here. And lust is serving as love’s stand-in for this performance. The sound design and soundtrack is solid, but I don’t think Pink Gum says or does enough to really feel meaningful.

Pink Gum is a 10 minute interactive art piece about the stages of life. If you're interested in this sort of thing, it's definitely recommended for the asking price.

I did not enjoy playing this game, it made me feel uneasy and disturbed. I'm not a big fan of the subtext but the real issue to me was the way it's depicted → kinda creepy (in my opinion). I usually love those experimental-artistic(-hipster) sort of games... this one had a sour aftertaste, but still, it's not a real no-go. Worth trying if you don't mind the money spent (it's *very* short) !
