Life Tastes Like Cardboard

i really like this game, and there's a lot to like about it id said. i think my favorite thing about this game is how slow everything is. from the walk speed, to the various long hall/pathways and dialogue. everything takes a very long time to do, and i grew to love that aspect as i played (especially around chapter 8 to the end). also ollie is cool and olive garden is mentioned a couple of times and i like that :) i only recommend this game if you're in it for the long run

Couldn't play the game myself because it won't load past the first loading screen, but I still managed to experience the game through a youtube video. 100% recommended

The store page is absolutely deceiving. This is an amazing piece of art. Its an emotional and surreal experience with lucid dream and nightmare sequences that all blend together. Beautiful and disturbing. The first chapter may be a little bit over the top with the whole nihilism & life is pointless message, but the subsequent chapters are much more grounded in that aspect, even poking fun at that viewpoint a bit. The soundtrack is very well done and is memorable in my opinion. The art style from the screenshots may seem "cheap", but it is grounded in skill that is clear to see in certain parts where the style is expanded on or completely flipped. The characters are extremely well written. Jon's problems feel very real, and Ollie feels like a real person. The whole story is so well done and emotional, over my slightly split of playthrough I found my self in tears multiple times. Especially Jon's The Quiet Kitten and Ollie's Sad Fantasy picture books. The ending even more so. Jon and Ollie's progression throughout the chapters is memorable and I know I will think about this game for a long time to come. Demensa you should be proud of this game.
