Moros Protocol

(Obligatory if there was a mixed button, I would press that instead.) This is a polished sci-fi Boomer Shooter hiding beneath layers of mediocre and uninspired roguelike elements. Visually, the game looks great, and its overall presentation is competent and sleek. The gunplay feels good, and the QoL is notably strong. This game’s roguelike side isn’t the worst I’ve experienced, it’s just insanely mediocre. All upgrades, whether intra-run relics (‘augments’ as they’re called here) or permanent changes, are minor stat upgrades that neither feel nor are impactful. They fail to make runs feel unique, nor do they force you to engage with the game’s systems in novel, varying, and challenging ways. In essence, this game plays like a Dungeon Crawler, but unlike [i]TBOI[/i] or [i]Hades[/i] (where build choices are endless), the only build potential here is for the different guns you can acquire.

[h1]The World of Moros Protocol:[/h1] Moros Protocol is made with a combination of Procedural Generation and randomly arranged handmade locations, helping to keep the exploration interesting, as you never exactly what is behind each scifi tech door. Visually, it reminds me a bit of the FPS Roguelike Strafe, another pixel packing, sci-fi FPS that is fast paced and fun, only in this one, the focus is more on the melee & dash, less on the guns. Though, guns are a plenty as well. Tear through each room with your blade and blaster, collecting ammo, keys and currency to further your quest of SciFi slaughter. Remember: The rooms seal you in until hostiles are eliminated; fair and fitting, as we cannot have the Xenos contamination spreading, can we? Also, watch out for the purification gas. Good fun with some replay after the fact, would be nice to have a selection of starter weapons, I tend to get the same thing over and over but it's really whatevs, what id like the most is like a long story format, like if balancing was what you were worried about it could be like a NG+ thing, all three chapters strung together no cutscenes.

A very cool and simple FPS roguelite with meta progression system. Lots of weapons, both melee and ranged, physical and energy based. Difficulty is balanced and if you have any experience with FPS games, you're gonna have a good time.
